How to Make a Chicago Hot Dog
You have not eaten a hot dog until you've eaten a Chicago hot dog. In just a few steps, you can enjoy this unique gastronomical delight, share it with all your friends and join an elite level of carnivorous snobs!

Steps
  1. Gently steam a poppy-seed hot dog bun until giving to the touch, but not soggy.
  2. Place a Vienna Beef hot dog (steamed or charred) into the bun.
  3. Coat hot dog in a thin layer of yellow mustard.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped onion (grilled or raw).
  5. Spoon relish over onion.
  6. Lay three sport peppers lengthwise.
  7. Garnish with tomato wedges, crisp pickle spear, and celery salt to taste.

Tips
  • Use only Vienna Beef hot dogs. There is no substitute for those seeking a genuine Chicago hot dog.
  • Use only yellow mustard. Use of ketchup is not recommended.
  • Relish should be of a neon-green hue.
  • Some purists argue that only tomato "wedges" rather than the slices photographed above should be used.
  • Cucumbers, green pepper strips and table salt are acceptable options.
Warnings
  • Never, never use ketchup on a Chicago hot dog. A purist won't even have a bottle of ketchup in the same room.
  • If you must have ketchup, then have it with your fries. The fries should be seeping with grease and well salted.
Things You'll Need
  • Poppy-seed hot dog bun
  • Vienna Beef hot dog (steamed or charred)
  • Yellow mustard
  • Chopped onion (grilled or raw)
  • Relish
  • Sport peppers
  • Tomato wedges
  • Crisp pickle spear
  • Celery salt

Writing a Resignation Letter

One of the greatest secrets of success is knowing when to move on. With the right resignation letter, you will do so with satisfaction and leave on good terms with your previous employer.

Steps
  1. Say thank you. Resist the temptation to leave a piece of your mind, unless you want to be remembered as an ungrateful whiner. In fact, do the opposite. Document positive memories of your job. Mention how this job has positively influenced your career.
  2. Give proper notice. It is simple courtesy to give your employer a reasonable amount of time to fill your position. If your job is complicated, your employer may need time for you to train your replacement. Give notice of no less than two weeks.
  3. Stay professional. Be respectful and courteous. Do not use emotional or controversial language in your letter. You are a professional, so quit like a professional.
  4. Use the "sandwich technique" where you soften the blow of the bad news of your departure with positive statements on either side. Begin your letter with a positive paragraph.
  5. Place your resignation in the middle of the letter.
  6. Close your letter with another positive paragraph.
