So how much snow is there on the ground up in the Aurora area?
Trying to decide if we should bring sleds or wheelers this weekend.

thanks.

It must be so deep that they've lost power up there. Should we send out the Saint Bernards with survival packs?

I have not been out on the snowmobile trails as of yet, however I do know that they did groom part of the trail system in this area a few days ago. I have seen plenty of sleds out ripping around, but I don't know anything firsthand.

Oh yeah between Biwabik and Aurora, there are some loggers using the trail for an access road and they are plowing it down to dirt :pod: Heading to Hoyt Lakes there was open water in front of the bridge

Was originally planning to bring up the wheelers and take deer stands down (on Potlatch leased land) but realized there maybe too much snow to get thru.

10" would probably be a little work for the 4x4 machines (pulling a small trailer) but the 2 wheel drive machine would probably be more trouble than fun.

It sounds like it might be a little premature for the sleds.  We came up last year with the sleds and rode marginal snow and it sux'd.

Where are they loggin' at? East or West of 135?
