$2.55 a Gallon in Rochester, MN... According to the other message boards I visit, prices are between $2.51 and $3.10 a gallon across the U.S. of A. meaning its only going to get higher!

It cost me $15.30 to fill my 6 gallon gas can, the other 2 were still full from filling them at a price of $2.23 a gallon last week. I only let the gas tanks go to half before filling them, and thats over $35 to fill a galf a tank... I hate to even think of filling my truck!

Well, lets hear it all people, what are you doing to budget higher costs? Maybe like quitting smoking and saving $200.00 a month to fund your gasoline for your rides?? Outlandish, did you quit smoking yet? I have less than 2 cartons left then I quit!!!

:pu::pod::omg::hp::cry:

Last night the hubby and I took both the pick up and van to fill up here in Aurora, MN.   $2.59 a gal.  We got a .03 discount.  But it was still almost $90.00 for the 2.  But that bites.  Need to get a loan for gas to go anywhere.  And yah quit smoking is sounding better(as hubby went out for one).

Yeah it's $2.59 here. :pod: If I ever get my truck back, I am looking at selling it and buying a little Ranger or S-10. Not sure if I will but that F-150 with the 351 gets 12 mpg on a good day with the wind at my back. I hate to lose the hauling capacity and the power but the 24 mpg 4 cylinder is sounding pretty good and it would still pull my 1500 pound load.

Luckily we have a Prizm that gets about 35 mpg or so.........

As far as quitting, yup as soon as all this stress is over w/ my truck and my John Deere getting fixed! I am going to try again.....will save enough to help with a new truck payment.

Here is another gasoline "point to ponder" I have been buying most of my gasoline at Kwik Trip, mainly because of the cheap Bread, milk in a bag, and .29 cents a pound bananna's... A friend of mine told me Conoco gasoline gives you better mileage, write down your mileage, buy gas at various stations, and keep tract of what MPG you get from the different stations. I drive a 1995 Pontiac Grand AM V6 to and from work and basic transportation, 85% highway miles, 15% city miles. So far from best to worse: (BP Gas full tank now testing)

Supper America: 27MPG

Conoco:25.6MPG

Holiday: 24.5MPG

Fleet Farm: 24.5MPG

Kwik Trip: 21.8MPG

I just thought I would share my findings, Try it yourself!

I have been using to car and small trailer to haul my wheeler to the pulls, better milage than the truck. Also did you know that kwik trip and conoco honer the gas coupons that you get from fleet farm and bp, saves driving way down to FF.

All the stations above (in Rochester) honor all gasoline coupons, except Conoco in Byron they only except this discount card non profit groups sell...

*****I just talked to my Propane dealer and contracted 1,000 Gallons of Propane @ $1.36 a gallon I asked him if it was going up... Damn, just went up .11 cents Monday and is expected to go up MORE!  Sooooo, $1,360.00 going their with a $100.00 deposit to lock in contract at that price.*****

Well today I tried out an 800 Outlander so I really have a reason to quit now. That thing will be mine this spring. All I can say about it is :omg:

Have a link to the one your interested in? Who makes them? I just finished mowing the yard here, did the other a few days ago so it can go for another week!  Sure is nice out 85 degrees out there and actually was sweating pretty badly mowing...

To keep this on topic, I hear on the news that there is a rise in "drive off's" (getting gas and driving off wiyh out paying) I bet these young punks are going to be steeling more gas from out in the country.

If it went down and they haven't filled it yet, will they cut you some slack or is the contract biding even though you haven't recieved the good yet?

I was talking to my neighbor today and he said you could buy lp off the truck cheaper than the contact price, that sucks for people who contacted.

Beware of TRONDSON OIL AND LP. Call around get the BEST prices! I rented a 500 gallon tank and paid 14 cents more for Lp and a higher rate for the LP.

Winter has not even started, I think what we expierianced the last few weeks is just a taste of whats going to happen this Winter. Who knows, I am just guessing...

My family has been buying from a small town South West of here, they always sell cheaper than Rochester, and they tell us we all get the LP from the same pipeline, and look who is greedier!

We have natural gas. but will be keeping the heat down.  Can put on more clothes to stay warm.  I had never heard of this contracting for LP until my sister-in-law in Cedar Mills did it.  She was really upset when she missed the cut off day last year by 1 day.  They would not give her any slack.  I think I would have checked about taking business elsewhere.
