Has anyone heard anything about a new model coming out in spring, 750-800cc?

Looking to upgrade, might have to go to different brand.

I haven't heard anything to hang my hat on. Rumor, Rumor, says a 750ccEFI Grizz, but we shall see.

You know that woukld be just my luck too. I was waiting and hoping that Yamaha would come out with a larger grizzly or a bigger bike then this forum kinda steered me away

I considered a Grizz before I bought my 800 but like the Rincon they were old school. Now if they would have had that 750EFI when I was shopping, who knows what I'd be riding.....

I heard a rumor that Yamaha is working on a 850 for like 2007. The local Yamaha dealer here makes and sells a 800 Grizz. He claims it will eat a 800 Bomb. But he wants $12,000 for it. Anyway he's the one told me about the 850 coming out. As I guess they had to call Yamaha to find out if would be Ok for them to build the 800 Grizz. I believe they told me the 800 that they make puts out around 75hp.  Dealer is in Rice Lake Wis.

Did they just modify the 660 with a big bore kit or what?

If money's not an issue they make big bore kits for alot of machines. Problem is there is no warranty on them, and I would be scared about blowing an engine on one of those. Lot's of cash down the drain. Not sure if the transmission along with some other parts were designed to handle that motor either.

Yamaha is pretty tight lipped. The earliest I could ever find out about their new line was in the middle of june after the big dealer show thats put on.

That's what I thought, I would like to get something before then, but last year I waited too and they didnt come out with something I wanted, so I thought maybe this year, but who knows.
