QUADZILLA

First off, I should have taken up golf.

Owning a quad in Ventura, Ca. is very frustrating. I have to trailer it and drive at least 2 hours to do any riding and the 2 closest spots are small, very small, a couple hours of riding and you've done it all.

I go to the Piaute trails in Utah, at least once a year, plus a few trips to the Vegas area yearly. When at the Piaute, it's 10 hour days of riding, I can't squeeze enough in.

I Started off-roading in my teens with dirtbikes, like a Husqvarna 250 and 400 and a Maico 501(scary fast). Had the pleasure of colliding with Steve McQueen, at a race in So. Cal, he bought me lunch later in the day. Also have done a bit of 4x4ing with a couple different vehicles, my favorite of which was a 1969 Toyota FJ40.

My 1st quad was a 2004 Arctic Cat 500TRV. I ran that for 2 years then decided to up it a bit. Now the 2007 Outlander 650 max works beautifully for me and the wifester. I do "tinker" allot with my quad and also one of my stepson's "chopper".

Past careers have been cement mason, disc jockey, truck driver (18 wheels and gears) and presently a machinist/toolmaker, for 25 years or so.

Have plans to relocate to a more quad friendly area as soon as my life will permit. Until then it's the 9 to 5 stuff which I spend doing toolmaker/machinist stuff, presently making a lot of the little parts for the "joint-strike" fighter.
